Petrified Wood Ceramic Mezcal Copita
Omár Hernandez
$20.00
Omár Hernandez is a contemporary Oaxacan ceramicist who finds inspiration in nature and impresses the textures found there - like tree trunks, plants, and stones - into his ceramic works.
These copitas - made to look like petrified wood - pay homage to the natural jicara (gourd) cups traditionally used in Oaxaca for sipping mezcal. The shallow, wide-mouthed bowl allows the imbiber's nose to dip low enough to inhale and appreciate mezcal's distinct aroma. Beautifully handmade, each piece will vary slightly in size, color and shape.
