Founded by Jeriel Sydney, FableRune is a small-batch, all-natural skincare company based in Los Osos, California. Born from her need for pregnancy-safe bath and body products, it all began with farm-fresh goats’ milk soap and has since grown into an extensive line of products promoting whole-body wellness - including the ones featured throughout Nomada hotels.
FableRune’s holistic, healing approach to self-care is inspired by the enduring power of natural ingredients and grounded in beauty wisdom passed down through the generations.
“Our skincare line takes ancient ingredients and combines them with new elements to form a balance between history and science. Bringing things back to a more earth-focused time, trusting the ingredients that have been proven over thousands of years, tapping into beauty secrets from our ancestors and the women who came before us,” explains co-owner Bobbie Cunningham, a licensed cosmetologist and trained esthetician.
Everything at FableRune is made in-house from start to finish. Their mindful, small-batch sustainable, manufacturing practices ensure customers are receiving the freshest, most potent product possible. “It's definitely not the "easy" way but it's the right way for us to maintain our standards and quality,” says Bobbie.
So when Nomada’s creative director Kimberly Walker was looking for thoughtful, locally sourced bath amenities for Granada Hotel, FableRune was a natural choice. We know that fragrance has a special way of evoking memories and transporting you to another place - and we wanted to create signature scents that would allow our guests to channel that vacation state of mind even after they check out.
“Once the property’s design is determined, I meet with Jeriel & Bobbie to discuss terroir, vibe, and essences that feel like the guest experience we’re trying to cultivate,” says Kimberly. “Sometimes the fragrance notes are focused on feelings or moods, or even specific moments and the scents associated with them.”
